Her favourite part of artistic swimming is choreographing.
Alison Bryan
Alison swam recreationally from the age of 6, and was a founding member of the Bridgewater Synchro Club. After 1 year, BSC dissolved and the remaining swimmers trained with Atlantis Synchro. After swimming for 2 years with Atlantis, Alison made the difficult decision to stop swimming and focus on high school. A fully certified Introduction to Competition Coach, Alison has many years of experience coaching synchronized swimming at competitive, recreational, and masters levels. She received the award for Coach of the Year from Synchro Nova Scotia in 2018. With a large aquatic background in teaching swimming lessons and lifeguarding, Alison brings her love of working with children and young adults to the club for a collaborative experience.
Emma Hull
Emma has been involved in the sport of synchronized swimming since she was in grade 4. She is currently in her third year of university at Dalhousie University here in Halifax. She has swum provincially in Toronto for a club called TSSC (Toronto Synchronized Swimming Club) for her entire synchro career, and is now swimming for the Dal team! This is her third year with HAN and is really excited about working with the athletes again this year. She hopes to bring her enthusiasm for this sport and love for exercise to the next synchro swimmers of the future and can’t wait for the competitive season to start.
Anna Embury
Anna has been swimming her whole life and has been in synchro since 2008. She swam provincially for 8 years and in her last competitive year, swam at the national level with Nova Synchro. Anna is currently completing her BSc at Dalhousie University majoring in Marine Biology and minoring in psychology. Anna has been with HAN for 2 years, swimming for one and coaching the next. She says she has found her love for synchro has grown since starting to coach and can't wait to continue spreading her passion for the sport.
