MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD
Welcome to the 2018-2019 swimming season!
We want to welcome all swim families, both new and returning, to the Club. We had a very successful year and are looking to have another one this year. There are a lot of fun activities planned - both in and out of the pool, and we are all eagerly looking forward to another great season.
Fund-raising is an integral and necessary part of HAN's fee matrix, which allows us to offer all of programs at a reduced cost. As a volunteer organization, we understand everyone’s time pressures with home, school and extracurricular activities. So we strive to do as few fund-raisers as possible but they need to be successful. Participation in all fundraisers is mandatory for competitive swimmers but we ask that all members participate as fund-raising benefits everyone . We have a number of fund-raising activities planned such as: bingo and Centennial Pool parking lot monitoring but are always looking for new opportunities. Our Fund-raising Chair is Cathy Blum. If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas for a new fund-raising campaign, she is the one to talk to!
As always, we want to remind you that our philosophy is to work with the swimmers and their families to create the program that works best for them. We want everyone to have the opportunity to participate and have fun, so please let us know how we can make things work for you! The best way to do this is to stay in touch with the coaches and board members. The vast majority of communication is done via e-mail, so please ensure that we have the best address with which to stay in contact with you.
Good luck to all our swimmers!
Emily Dempsey,
On behalf of the HAN Board
