![]() Congratulations to all swimmers who competed this past weekend at the Synchro Nova Scotia Provincial Qualifying Meet. This meet was hosted by Halifax Aqua Nova at Centennial Pool, and all swimmers did extremely well. Please check out the media gallery as photos and videos get updated. Results from the weekend can be seen here. The first routine meet of the season went extremely well! The meet was attended by teams from New Brunswick, PEI, and Nova Scotia. The HAN teams did extremely well. Videos of the Novice and 16 and Over Teams are now up in the Media Gallery. Congratulations Girls!!
The Novice Team placed 2nd with a final score of 50.833. The 16 and Over Team placed 2nd with a final score of 57.017. The Masters Team placed 3rd with a final score of 53.517 Paige Hurley and Jenna McNutt placed 2nd in 16 and Over Duet with a final score of 54.850. Martha Schram placed 1st in Masters Solo with a final score of 58.950. Halifax Aqua Nova Synchro invites you to join us on Sunday, January 8 to try out the sport of synchro for absolutely no charge!
All programs take place at Centennial Pool in Halifax. Classes for youth will take place from 3:30-5:00 PM, and for adults from 2:30-4:30 PM. Registration for Winter programs will follow at 5 PM. Swimmers of all ages and ability levels are welcome, but should be comfortable swimming in deep water. Practices for all groups will resume in January. For those interested in trying out synchro, we will be hosting a trial event for interested swimmers on Sunday, January 8th. There is absolutely no cost involved with this event. Please contact us for more information, or to register. Times are as follows:
For Youth Recreational - 3:30-5:00 PM, with registration following from 5-5:30 PM. Classes begin Tuesday, January 10th from 6-7 PM, and run for 10 weeks. Cost is $100 for the term. For Adult Recreational - 2:30-4:30 PM, with registration following from 5-5:30 PM. Classes begin Sunday, January 8th from 2:30-4:30 PM, and run for 10 weeks. Cost is $125 for the term. Swimmers are not required to have a specific swimming level, but must be comfortable swimming in deep water. Our Halifax Aqua Nova swimmers did a tremendous job this weekend at the Nova Scotia Figure Championships. With the addition of the Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) fitness components, it made for a long day, but we are very proud of all of our swimmers, and their fantastic results.
Well done girls!! ![]() Our fundraising event at the Clayton Park Sobeys was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who supported us! It was a long day, with a swim practice following the event, but the girls did great, and we raised $771.10!! Congratulations everyone! For photos of the event, check out the media gallery.
